I love other people's kids until 2:45
I love other people's kids until 2:45 I have written whole papers on why I teach! The short answer to why I teach (even though I do not want my own children) is because I think it's the best way to use my gifts to serve others. I believe Christians in particular have a preferential option to serve the poor, so I teach in low income communities. I believe a good education is the key to a good life and the means to escape poverty. So I want to give poor children the education they need to succeed in the world. I am a big fan of critical pedagogy and strive for that in my teaching. There is a lot I enjoy about teaching. It is fun to journey with children in the land of imagination, where anything is possible. And I get to witness human development in action. I have been a certified teacher since 2006.
