I enjoy many things but I guess what excites me the most is good conversation. Since I am around teenagers all day in school and twenty-year-olds at home (my kids), I miss conversing with people my age. Although I have lady friends,I would like to meet a man with similar interests now that my husband has passed away. I love having the summers off, and I thought that by meeting a fellow teacher, we could find some interesting places to visit. I like hiking and sailing (not bicycling) and exploring museums. I love going to classical rock or classical music concerts. I also love good science fiction, either to read or watch in films. Another passion is cooking and eating good food. Since my children are growing up and moving out, soon I won't have anyone to cook for, and that would be a pity because I really am a good cook after forty some years working at it. I am also a spiritual person who attends mass every Sunday, not because I feel obligated to, but because I really receive a lot of peace and joy from it. I read whenever I have a spare moment, but I also like to be around people--to listen to them and learn about them. I really enjoy the teenagers I teach and find them amusing. I love the challenges of teaching and the creativity of planning lessons that teenagers will enjoy. I feel really blessed by my four great children and by this rewarding job. Now that I have time to develop some friendships, I thought that this would be a way to meet people with similar interests.
