I am a 30 year old female teacher who just relocated from NH to MD in AUgust 2007 to take a job as a reading specialist at a private school in MD for students in 5th-12th grade with language based learning disabilities.
This was the best move I ever made. I thoroughly enjoy my job and the smile on my students' faces when they have made progress in reading for the first time is priceless.
As I am sure many teachers know teaching is a very time consuming job and although I love it immensely it is hard to meet people my own age with similar interests. When I am not teaching I can be found ice skating, hiking, biking, rollerblading or anything outdoors. When the weather does not permit outdoor activities I enjoy museums, plays and theatre.
